Aranjues is another village belonging to the municipality of MadridTouched by the rivers Tajo and Jarama. The village is part of the club of the Royal Sites of the Spanish National Heritage. It shows many interesting places, as it was the resting place of the king during the springs of the XVII century.
In the middle agewas built in the complex and converted into a hospital,to heal the wounded knightswho took part in the battles against the Muslimsduring the Spanish Reconquista.
Later, the Catholic kings, tconverted the hospital into a palace, and the whole municipalityturned into a Royal Site.Since then, until the XIX century, Aranjuez was used as the Spring Residence by the Kings of Spain.
